Factors Influencing the Prediction Accuracy of Model Peptides in Reversed-Phase Liquid Chromatography

چکیده

Hydrophobicity is an important physicochemical property of peptides in solution. As well as being strongly associated with peptide stability and aggregation, hydrophobicity governs the solution based chromatographic separation processes, specifically reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RPLC). In addition, a major comparison to H-bonding, electrostatic, aromatic properties intermolecular interactions. However, wide range molecular factors can influence hydrophobicity, accurate predictions depending on specific amino acid compositions, structure, conformation. It noticeable that composition, position acid, its neighbouring groups play crucial role elution process. light this, same behaved differently chain. Extra attention should be paid denaturation process during course elution, it has been shown complicate alter pattern. This paper reports key and, consequently, RPLC behaviour peptides, will conclude by proposing improved prediction algorithms for RPLC.

Factors influencing the performance of peptide mapping by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography.

Factors controlling the performance of peptide mapping on reversed-phase columns were systematically evaluated. Performance criteria included resolution (peak capacity and selectivity), system reproducibility, sensitivity and analysis speed. Column configuration, characteristics of packing materials, mobile phase composition, operating variables and instrumental designs were found to influence ...

EVALUATION OF THE USE OF ANIONIC/ NONIONIC MIXED MICELLES IN REVERSED PHASE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY OF CHLOROPHENOLS

The use of aqueous mixed micellar system consisting of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and polyoxyethylene (23) dodecanol (Brij-35) as the mobile phase in reversed-phase liquid chromatography was studied. A group of chlorophenols was used as the test mixture. Adding organic modifier to the system showed that the use of low concentrations of organic additives improves efficiency in SDS/Brij-35 mixe...

Determination of monosaccharides in cider by reversed-phase liquid chromatography

A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method is described for the simultaneous determination of aldoses and uronic acids in cider, previously derivatized with p-aminobenzoic ethyl ester (ABEE). Narrow-bore C8 columns are recommended as this alternative provides good separation efficiency, along with greater economy and sensitivity. Detection limits for aldoses (glucose...
